Something I love most about the garden is waking up in the morning and picking breakfast. I love being able to just walk outside and gather fresh ingredients to feed my family. It’s nice not feeling guilty anymore like I used to when I would pour those big bowls of sugary sweet cereal.
I was always afraid that the kids would be too picky to eat from the garden, but to my surprise they actually liked it. I think having them experience growing the food from seed to fruit themselves really helps a lot. They love watching it grow and then finally being able to pick it and eat it. I think it makes them more willing to try new things when they get the whole experience.

Fresh Garden Breakfast
1/2 lb of bacon cut into pieces
1 pound of fresh green beans
1/2 of an onion chopped thinly
a handful of lambs quarter or your favorite green
2 cloves of garlic chopped or minced
First thing I do is wash all my greens and vegetables. I let them soak in my sink for a few minutes. Sometimes a little caterpillar pops out of a green bean so make sure you get it all clean!
Chop up your onion thinly and garlic and set to the side.
Cut up your bacon into pieces and cook.
When the bacon is cooked I throw in my veggies. I cook until tender.
I serve this meal with an egg on top.
And there you have it! Super easy, delicious and nutritious! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!
Looks delicious! I think it’s awesome that you talk about God!
