It keeps all the flavor and juices inside! It is definitely one of my favorite ways to make delicious chicken breast!
How do I pressure cook chicken?
Pressure cooking chicken is so easy and simple! You can pressure cook raw chicken breast in your pressure cooker for about 8 to 9 minutes depending on thickness. If you are in a pinch you can even cook it frozen. If you are cooking it frozen be sure to cook it for at least 10 minutes. The end result should be a fully cooked, juicy chicken breast that falls apart when you stick a fork in it.

What temperature should the chicken be when it is done?
Chicken should always be 165 degrees. When The chicken reaches 165 degrees you know it is fully cooked. Always let the chicken rest before cutting into it. The chicken is much juicier when left alone for a few minutes. The best way to know if your chicken is up to temp is by using a meat thermometer. I use a meat thermometer all the time just to be safe.

What tools do you need to pressure cook tender chicken breast?
You definitely need a pressure cooker to start! Make sure your pressure cooker has some sort of wire rack that goes onto the bottom of your pressure cooker so the chicken doesn’t burn onto the bottom of your pan. You will need salt and pepper of course and garlic powder to taste. You’ll need a timer to time the cooking time after your pressure cooker comes up to temp. Something that would be helpful is to have a vacuum sealer to save any leftovers. When you use a vacuum sealer your food will stay fresher longer in the freezer.
